For child witnesses, several intervention programs are available, but it is not yet clear from existing research which are the most advantageous or what the primary agents of change within these programs are.
These negative effects are not only evident in women who are direct victims of IPV, but also “trickle down” intergenerationally, affecting the health and well-being of children, and there is strong evidence documenting serious and enduring effects of IPV on child witnesses.
