Windows media center tv guide not updating dating freitas
For the complete procedures, please click on this link: How to Uninstall Windows Media Center then Reinstall Yes, I was able to uninstall and reinstall; after reinstall, the channels were still present but no update.I received, as before, a message to the effect that the update would expire in three days with an option to update or do later. When I selected the update option I received a twirling circle for several minutes with no result.I am able to receive the television channels, but the guide says no date for each channel. The DVBLink software has an elaborate guide setup process which is why I am guessing there was an error message on that system when this issue was in effect (and not on the other). The guide data on both systems currently extends to March 31st. Allowing me to archive any recordings I want on my server (automatically or manually) and access them from any computer I want. One uses two Hauppauge HD PVR USB units (via DVBLink software) and two network dual tuner Silicon Dust HDHome Run units and the other system uses a Hauppauge Colossus PCIe card (via Hauppauge beta Media Center software) and a Silicon Dust HDHome Run Prime triple tuner Cable Card unit. Being that it's the ONLY way to do encrypted cable, and not have to rent a box, it's just really sad that this platform feels so abandoned. I prefer it that way because the Hauppauge products can do 1080i /720p recordings that look really good from any HD channel (depending on source resolution) without DRM restrictions,......from premium cable channels like HBO-HD, Show Time-HD and so on. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I am glad to assist you today. I receive a message to right click on the Windows Media Icon in the tray and then click on the log, but that brings me right back to the Window Media Center page. I could still view the channels but not see the guide or record the shows.
This problem of your can be caused by a huge bulk of temporary internet files and other files accumulated as you install and uninstall programs. The problem auto corrected itself which is very gratifying. Microsoft Media Center is a fairly mature product and doesn't quite feel dated or fully abandoned to me,...... However, I would think that in due time I might want some new features like 4K video support.
